What is your strategy for reducing queue backlog without dropping quality?

Background jobs can silently accumulate and cause stale behavior. What operational signals tell you to re-architect instead of adding workers?

Yoshiii :slightly_smiling_face:

When queue age keeps rising while workers stay busy and retries or duplicate work climb, I stop scaling out and look for a design flaw like poor idempotency or the wrong trigger model, because more workers can just make the mess arrive faster.
