What % of computers have flash 8/MX/5 etc

Does anyone know what percentage of people on the web have installed what version of Flash?

I’ve been messing about with the Flash 8 trial, but I guess unless I need functions unique to Flash 8, I should use older actionscript coding to make it compatible with older versions of Flash.

I think I heard a statistic around 98% for MX about a year ago.

It all depends on your stats though. Do your users have the latest version… are they Flash developers who would go to your site? Or are they disabled veterans…?

sweet, thanks for the replies.

Don’t have a site up yet, ( check out www.mawoosh.com in a week or so :wink: ) so not sure about my users, but I’m hoping to cast as wide a net as possible, so I guess v. 5 is my best bet.

I’m a complete Flash beginner so I doubt I’m using any code that doesn’t work in v.5 anyway, everything’s pretty basic still.
