Yea, it’s been long since I wrote here, and the last time I did was just about action script stuff (which btw, you guys, were quite helpful). Now let’s see if you can give me an hint on this one.
Yea, I’m 23 years old, live in South America Paraguay, work as a web designer with maybe 4 years of working experience. Know a lot on photoshop, a lot html, some flash, some actionscript and some 3D. Though I never been completly convinced if Web Designing is actually reeeeally my stuff.
I finished the first half of my graphic design studies (got a technical degree, which represents somewhat the basics on graphic design). Decided to leave it as it goes to deep into advertising and the teaching is quite mediocre. But I’m feeling not ok wasting my time on something that dosn’t work as some sort of investment (learning, practicing, knowladge).
So I’m a bit on a cross road here and maybe you guys could give me an hint. These are my options.
-Just continue studing graphic design at the same college, even if I don’t like it, just for the degree and maybe for some more basics.
-Start al over again on some undergraduate degree in a college on some place besides Paraguay, where maybe I could find something more related to what I’m passioned about (multimedia design, experimental design, interactivity).
-Work a lot (more than when I was studying as I do have more time), and get more experience from working.
-Use that time on reading books ond the subject.
-Get into some project that has nothing to do with web design but maybe help me to find other thinks I never knew I could do. Probably something design and computer related.
Don’t know if a small portfolio could give you guys an idea if really web design is what I should do. So I’d like your opinion.
