White space in IE

so, my site works fine in firefox, which i use, but when i tested it in IE there was a white space on the right side of the page between my background and my header. anybody know whats going on. i am new at css, so i cant solve too many problems that come up. its not a problem on the main page which uses style.css, but on all my other pages, which use style2.css is where i get the problem.
