White Text Alpha Tween Issue

When tweening the alpha value of white text utilizing ‘anti-alias for readibility’ the text pops at the end of the tween, resulting in a less than smooth effect. I’ve experimented and found that this only happens with white text, and it’s less noticeable when the text is larger.

Comparing white text to any other color, it seems like flash applies a slight boost to the thickness of white text. I’m guessing this is the cause of the pop effect when tweening its alpha value.

I’ve looked around and haven’t found any discussions on the issue. Anyone in Kirupa land know of a solution or workaround while preserving text quality?
