I feel like I don’t find an answer to this question online because it’s so very stupid. :whistle2:
Online flash game sites will ask you to upload a single .swf file. But unless I’m missing something really obvious, you can’t write custom classes in frames’ code, you actually need external .as files. Now, I know there’s stuff about allowing domains and whatnot, so I know theoretically the .swf could still find what it needs from the original site. But then, there are games that are years old online, and I find it hard to believe they’d still be working if they needed to access some personal webpage somewhere.
What I’m asking is, is it possible to actually make a whole game self-contained in a single .swf file, or are most flash developers just really dedicated about not deleting their 7-year-old poorly coded web sites?
Sorry if I’m being a moron, here. :-/
