Windows 7 - Auto-Restarting

Hey guys,

Want to first say I switched to Windows 7 before it was officially released using the betas and what not. And I got a full 64-bit Ultimate copy and installed it a little over a month ago and I haven’t had a single issue with compatibility or anything. I also want to make the point that I don’t have issues with a virus, malware, or any of those shenanigans. However, about a week ago, it started acting up. For some reason, Windows 7 will just decide to reboot out of no where. I can’t seem to pinpoint WHY it’s doing this. It seems to do it at various random scenarios:

[]Coming back from sleep
[
]Coming back from screensaver
[*]Plug in a USB device

I’ve looked around on google and what not, and noticed that a bunch of people are also experiencing this. And the ONLY solution that I’ve found other than “reinstall it” is to turn off auto-restart function under: **My Computer->Properties->Advanced->System Settings…->“uncheck auto-restart”

**But obviously all this does is keep Windows from restarting when it has an error. I would more or less like to know WHY I’m getting an error. I want to know if it’s something to do with my PC (old components, etc) or if it has to do with Windows 7 itself.

Do any of you Windows 7 guys have this problem, or know of WHY this occurs?

Thanks!
