i finally did it. i installed suse linux 9.2 and am actually using it. well, i tried installing it agaes ago but couldnt get it to work with my adsl modem so off it went. well now i have an ethernet modem so i thought iwould give it another shot and yay, it works 
now just gota get linux equivalents of everything
