I’ve been developing Flash for years now and to be honest I’ve never bothered to use XML with it. But recently loads of Jobs are asking for XML / Actionscript sites; what I am wondering is what it the actual point of XML?
From what I have seen everything it does can be, better achieved and easier to achieve by using other methods such as linking to a .txt file and then using a background PHP CMS program to edit it.
So in very simple terms what does it Actually Do?
