Ok, I’m about to run through my house screaming at the top of my lungs completely naked because I rushed out of the shower to see the realization of a possible revelation and… insanity!
There has to be 14 trillinon posts on here regaurding Senocular’s XML Portfolio and Photogallerys by Kirupa tutorials and scotty… I know what I want from looking through them all, and I’ve actually done a nice job of recreating it… however, I’m so confused with the code that I need to start fresh. So, scotty and Senocular would be most appreciated for this one if at all possible.
I love Senocular’s Portfolio, but it doesn’t do all of what I want it to do. scotty has modified some OTHER thumbnail gallerys that I do love (V3_with_thumbs zip) and yet, that doesn’t do all of what I need mine to do.
What I’ve done is taken the V3_with_thumbs and changed it around because I don’t want the images to resize when they’re pulled into the mc. I need multiple rows, yet, the version of Senocular’s doesn’t load the thumbnails into a replicated mc (box in scotty’s mod), instead, the thumbnails are ALL loaded into that one mc. Och… how about this:
XML Gallery / Portfolio:
- thumbnails with multiple rows
- thumbnails loaded into a mc that’s duplicated so I can modify a border around the thumbs and a nice rollover/out transition
- thumbnails have a description
- thumbnails preload
- big picture loads when requested
- big picture has a description below it
- a launch button underneath the big picture to launch the full version
So, you see… with a combination of like 4 different mods, I can acheive what I thought I figured out… problem is, I don’t know XML well enough and my current FLA is so messy that I need to start fresh with Senocular’s XML Portfolio as my base… just enough to change what’s right in front of me… I’m learning.
