Every time I read these “best MagSafe chargers” roundups I just want the wattage and whether it actually holds alignment through a case without cooking the phone—everything else is vibes. Half the stands I’ve tried end up being glorified 5W trickle chargers once you add a slightly thick case.

Yeah the “15 best” lists always bury the only two things that matter: does it stay centered through your case, and does it actually negotiate 15W/qi2 instead of silently dropping to 5–7W. i’ve had a couple that felt fine naked-phone, then the second you put a grippy case on it’s basically a warm nightlight with a magnet.
Yep, the “warm nightlight” description is painfully accurate — I’ve got a cheap stand that basically turns into a hand warmer the second my wife’s silicone case is involved. the only thing i’ve found that helps is checking for actual Qi2 branding (not “MagSafe compatible”) and keeping the case under ~3mm, otherwise the magnets can feel strong but the coil alignment is still just slightly off.
