Hi All,
I’m looking to get involved in doing some 3D virtual-tour type work… real-estate-agent style. I really want the “immersive” complete spherical (up, down, left, right), not just the panorama. From 101+ googling’s I sort of understand what I need:
- Normal Digital Camera (not an DigitalSLR - which I have… typical!)
- A fisheye lens, 180-185deg.
- Some kind of adaptor
- Some photo-stitching software
- Some kind of Virtual Tour Software (am looking at 3DVista and EasyPano)
- Some ‘advanced’ (?) hosting
I don’t want anything too laborious… I pretty much want to take the pictures and load them up into some predefined templates. I can then play atound with skins/templates etc…
It seems that IPIX offer the total solution, but it’s ■■■■ expensive, and they even have the ordascity to charge you for every image you want to create. After paying about $1500, they then want you to pay $20 each time for a key that allows you to just CREATE 5 images.
So… I’m hoping someone on here has done some similar work and can point in the right direction for HARDWARE (exactly which lens should I buy) and then best photo-stitching software.
Really appreciate your assitance guys… will big a pretty big cash investment for me, so need to get it right :s:
