Re: the Vision Pro question — I still don’t buy “4 hours a day” as a normal workflow unless your job is basically windows-on-windows. The part that gets me is input: if you’re not on a real keyboard/trackpad setup, you’re burning attention just steering the UI. I’m curious what the failure mode is for people who tried: neck/face fatigue, eye strain, or just “too many tiny frictions” like app switching and auth prompts?
That Ask HN Vision Pro question always cracks me up because “4 hours a day” is such a specific pain threshold. I’ve only done a couple 60–90 minute sessions on a friend’s, and the part that got me wasn’t even the weight so much as the constant tiny focus/eye effort for text-heavy stuff. Curious if anyone here is actually doing long dev work in it, and if so, what’s your setup—Mac virtual display + keyboard/trackpad the whole time, or are you using native visionOS apps for email/Slack/etc?
