I’m placing this thread in Flash MX 2004 simple because that’s what I’m using …
Anyway! I’ve been working on implimenting a slideshow into a customer’s site. The site is all Flash and I’ve been controlling the site content by using loadMovie to load the different sections.
I’m a Flash rookie so I’m learning as I go here. I first looked for something that was already built and open source to use. The closest thing I found was this. It’s not exactly what I need (want) and it’s not open source, so it’s out.
I tried using the tutorials here but I don’t want dynamically loaded stuff. I want the photos to be in the swf and loaded with my pre loader. Also, I want a slideshow that has controls that have the slideshow start out as an automatic show, then have some controls (IE: play/stop, ffw, rew). I also have different sized photos. There are all no wider that 380px and no taller than 380px but there is a mix of portrait types and landscape types.
Unfortunatly, as I mentioned above, I’m learning as I go. Anything I’ve built or tried to this point has failed in one way or the other and now I’m out of time.
Does anyone know of anything out there that is open source?
Any help will be greatly appreicated.

P.S ~ I’ve already searched the forums and there is a lot of stuff that comes REALLY close but as I’m a rookie, it’s hard for me to peice all this stuff together to make it work! :te:
