A little help on burning from I-tunes?

I don’t know where this goes but the forum did say random.

Anyway, about 3 months ago I decided to upgrade my mac to OSX. Hell I upgraded the PC to XP as well. I got to using this great piece of software called I-tunes. After downloading a couple CD’s worth of tunes I decided I better burn these to a CD and take em to work.

Well funny thing is I can’t get the program to recognized my internal burner and its not like its an off brand. In fact its as new as 3 months old, I put it in when I upgraded the system.

Anyway turns out I have another external burner hooked up as well. One of those Que Firewire burners, which the I-tunes recognizes. Here’s the kicker, I get everything to work up to the burn. Once I press the burn button in I-tunes the disc just sits and spins, nothing gets burned. No errors just no burn. I have read that I need to use 650 CDR’s and I try that, nothing. I visited the apple site and the Que site, they both say it should work. I’ve found tons of people say they experience the same thing. But I have not read that someone actually got everything to work.

So, anybody who has a mac, a Que Fire burner and I-tunes get it to burn?
BTW, My PC which has a new internal burner as well is recognized and burns quite well from I-tunes. Makes me think the program was written for a PC or XP in the first place.

O man. I don’t have a Mac my friend (I wish I did), but I recommend you check out a huge forum that is centralized on Mac issues.

thats a good idea but mind you there are some mac users here

Look for firmware upgrades or downgrades. Ex. if your firmware is the latest, downgrade one, two if necessary. If it’s not the latest, upgrade.

Thanks, but I tried that and a few other things, like buying a internal firewire card thats supposed to be needed after you update to OSX 10.3 and a few other things people at Mac forums have suggested. I just figured I would try here because I knew we have some Mac people and you were different mac people than the one’s from other boards.

I guess it will go unsolved at least until the next OSX update. I’ll be getting an Ipod in a few months anyway.
