A real problem about collision of balls

dear Flashers,

when i test my movie i hit the blue ball(instanceName=ball1)
with the gree ball and then i pass the “if” statement(inside the blue ball
instance) which has hitTest in it for green ball to hit the
blue ball and gotoAndPlay(2) action
for the blue ball(instanceName=ball2). when green ball hits the blue ball,
blue ball does the action,“if” statements gets executed
and _root.ball2.gotoAndPlay(2)
action takes place. But when i hit the blue ball again “if” statement
works(as trace(“hi”)substatement works)
but _root.ball2.gotoAndPlay(2) substatement in the “if” statement
does not do the job i.e. it does not execute. Why it
is not executing? please help me out to fix this
bug.

i can’t open the file. post your as?

Un expected file format bro…what version you using??

…maybe try **gotoAndStop(2) ** not gotoAndPlay(2)…

i am using flash MX 2004 Professional

i want the the animation effect so that gotoAndPlay(2) is must. i can’t use gotoAndStop(2) as it will give stationary state to blue ball(ball2)
