A Tale of Red Boxes

I hope there’s some help for this. I’ve been tasked with building an animation that takes the viewer through the whole customer “user experience”. Basically, I have to show off all of our printed communications, then take the viewer through our portal section by section.

I broke the whole experience up into segments and animated each segment. So far, so good. Then they needed a way to present this that would let them pause in between segments. PowerPoint sucks with Flash, so I used Flash Slide Presentation. However, all of the movies in one slide presentation was too large and crapped out my RAM. So I divided them up into 8 different slide presentations. The idea being that I would preload each SWF presentation into a tab of a browser and they could run each in order.

That’s not working. The SWFs work OK on my PC, but in a couple of others, including the one they’ll be using for the presentation, some SWF files have red boxes in place of the images. I believe this may also be a RAM issue, but I cannot reduce the file sizes any more.

Suggestions? Help? Please?
