i want to learn flash, I have no programming knowledge at all, the only thing i have going for me is the fact that I can use microsoft office hahahah! no seriously, can anybody tell me of any good books i can buy out there that will help a beginner like me get to grips with the basics.

It has always been my experience that you learn more by doing than by reading about how to do something. I’m sure you’ll get some good book recommendation but I hope also that you go through some of the tutorials. The ones that come with Flash are excellent for beginners as are the ones on this site and others (see links at sticky in this section and the forum on Action Scripting, for example).
If you find something you like out there you’ll learn a lot by opening the fla and checking out how it’s put together.

yeah cheers thanx i agree i believe in hands on approach too, and i have been looking at the tutorials on this great site, i will do all the tutorials that come with Flash and try and be patient when it gets tougher.
