hello all. I’m not familiar with using components, however I installed Flash Media Interactive Server and I’m using flash cs3. I am trying to follow this tutorial, http://www.adobe.com/devnet/flashcom/articles/first_comm_app.html, and I know that tut is using flash MX, however I think I can adapt it to CS3. my only problem is that in my components window I do not see any of the components needed for that tutorial. I searched around my newly installed media server files and I found a components folder with all the components needed. when I try to drag them into the scene from the folder they are in (they dont show up in the components window, I dont know how to get them in there) it doesn’t put the component on the scene, instead it opens a new tab and shows some AS. I also noticed in my flash cs3 directory where the components are kept they are called “flash component files” and in the media server folder where I found the components they are called “flash AS communication files.” now my main question is, how do I get those communication files into my components window so that I can use them for that tutorial? also, because they are named differently and also have a different icon… if that matters, does it mean these from the media server are not the correct components? this probably sounds confusing, but I’m hoping someone will know what I’m talking about. thanks so much to those who can help
