Hi guys, i have accidently deleted my addressbook APP (as in Address Book.app <= Apple bundled addressbook. ), not all the contacts thankfully. I am pritty sure the file is about 14mb, Would someone be kind enough to upload it or send it to me? Sending the app wont give me all your contacts.

Is there any way of reinstalling that particular application from your install CD/DVD?

  1. yes, go to the “Go” menu at the top of finder. Put your install DVD in the drive.
  2. Then type in /Volumes/“the exact name of you install dvd”/system/installation/packages/
  3. You will then be looking at the install ".pkg"s of every factory app. Just double click addressbook.pkg:)

I have nothing to add, I just was getting sick of 1599 and wanted 1600. Don’t hurt me!

yea but i dont have my dvd accessable at the moment, could somone pleeease upload it

uploading it will not work, different versions will not work

ziping your addressbook in the applications SHOULD WORK i have done it before and it worked with my bros laptop, but he is not here at the mo.

it will work if you upload the exact version of addressbook, but remeber to trash your addressbook.plist
