In the advanced collsion detection tutorial of the well, tutorial section, they noted that you must put a small mc along the perimeter of the clip. When observing the maze example shiped with Flash MX, I noticed that they used the getBounds and hitTest methods without all of the tidious arranging of small movie clips. If someone could explain this method to me that would be great!

By the way, the reason for this question is that, I’m planning to develop a maze in which different algorithms may be used to see which can solve the maze the fastest.
