Hey guys. I don’t come here much anymore (although I’d like to)… but I had a question and I figured you guys could help me.
I’m planning on doing a website for someone in July and they are asking for tracking for their advertisement “system.” They plan on selling advertisement space on their website and the people who run those websites being advertised need to have some way of keeping track of how many visits are coming in from MY client’s website.
Is this something done on my side or on the advertising client’s side?
I know it involves using an ID in the url somehow… but I don’t know if I need to do anything else other than obtain a link from the advertisers or not.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. I’ve been designing since roughly 2000 now but I still need to learn a few things ya know?
I do have some knowledge of general programming in PHP since I am an intermediate Java programmer- so technical terms would be appropriate where needed.
