AE Tutorial error..opps

Hey everyone.

For the people who are interested in AE (after effects) and have viewed my tutorial i sorta gave out some false information in one section of the tutorial. Recently I have been going through a DVD set for AE and have picked up on alot of great new techniques and methods and i came across the issue.

The issue was that i mentioned in section iv of “adding a filter” on page 2

I decided to place the keyframe here is because i would like the effect to match the motion blur of the rotation. Like I said before you cannot preview your motion blur so for this case we will guess that it will blend in ok here.
this is actually incorrect.

There is a master switch in AE that allows you to see the motion blur within after effects and with not having to render. Its allocated on top of the timeline where your time code is further to the right. theres a few switches, one thats has a M icon… thats the one (check attachment). With this clicked you can preview the blur adapted by ae on a moving layer.

A little warning though with all ‘features’ and ‘effects’ there bound to take some processing power so use this feature with caution, you could hide your other layers check the motion blur on its own and click it off when you dont need it, if your computer is powerful enough or your composition is not that involved (and your using layer motion blur// not blur filter!) then theres no reason to not keep it switched on.

Sorry for the mis-guided info to those who followed my tutorial and i hope this will rectify any issues in that area.

:: in regards to the tutorial i will update it to add this information
