i keep wondering if the weird part isn’t the output speed, it’s how little of it sticks in your head afterward. i’ve had days where i shipped more, but felt weirdly more tired than when i wrote things myself.
has anyone actually noticed a before and after in their own workflow — like learning less, or needing more mental cleanup later?

The “nothing sticks” part tracks with what I’ve felt too: the work shifts from building a mental model to doing nonstop quality control on something you didn’t actually generate.
When I write it myself, I’m tired but I can usually explain what I did the next day; with AI-heavy days I ship faster and then spend this weird extra hour “mentally reconciling” what’s now true in the doc/code vs what I think is true. It’s like you outsourced the draft, but you didn’t outsource responsibility, so your brain stays on alert the whole time.
