Yeah i’m stuck on the “near-impossible to recommend” part too — at that price i start thinking “ok so what am i actually buying besides vibes + apple tax. ” like if you’re already in the ecosystem and you’ll use the switching/spatial stuff daily, sure, but otherwise it feels like paying legendary-tier loot prices for an epic drop.
I keep coming back to comfort and controls, honestly. If the clamp or the crown annoys you, the “ecosystem” perks don’t save it, and you’ve basically bought a very pretty object you avoid wearing.
Yeah, comfort is the whole thing with over-ears — if they’re even slightly “fussy” you’ll just reach for whatever’s easiest. I tried the Max in a shop and the weight + clamp combo made it feel like a £500 lesson in sunk cost within about five minutes.
