I’ve recently bought a new PC and seem to be having a problem with it regarding the sleep/hibernate modes.
Whenever I put my PC into sleep mode or hibernate mode, then it goes into either mode fine. However, when I press the power button on my PC the computer will start up again but then immediately start the shut down procedure!
I’ve played around with the power settings in the control panel to change what happens when I press the power button, but the problem still persists. I’ve also downloaded PassMark Sleeper and tried it out, but the computer even shuts down when I use that! I haven’t thought about looking at the BIOS because I don’t know too much about all that.
Does anyone have any idea at all what may be the problem? It’s starting to annoy me a bit now as I had my previous PC on standby for long periods.
