I am using MX 2004 Pro. When I wanna type a {, [ or ] in the Action Script Editor nothing happens. Oh, this dark gray bar on the left changes to light gray. NICE! :d:
So I have to paste copy those characters from elsewhere, sucks hard.
A mate of mine experienced the same problem with MX.
yeah just reinstalled my flash and had the same problem…
it has something to do with the keyboard shortcuts…
go to edit -> keyboard shortcuts and choose the flash 5 set…
or maybe you could search for that shortcut and disable it…
I already searched the shortcuts, but didn’t found anything. Isn’t there another way to fix this than old Flash 5 Settings? Hope so.
I’ve had the same problem, and I fixed it by searching the Keyboard Shortcuts (Edit > Keyboard Shortcuts). Search in the Modify shortcuts, I think that’s where they were.
Your combination ALT-GR+[ isn’t really ALT-GR+[, it’s ALT+CTRL+^ or something like that. You can check what your shortcut actually is by adding one to any action, hitting ALT-GR+[ in the shortcut field and it should automatically change to the ALT+CTRL+^ format. Once you know which combinations are evil, hunt them down in the Modify shortcuts.
(Of course, you have to delete that shortcut you used to test what ALT-GR+[ really was too)
