Alternatives to FlashAmp

I would like something that will produce an arrray of amplitudes like Marmelade’s FlashAmp to be used for synching flash movies with sound files. I can’t find a trial that does anything useful and I can’t find a cheaper way to get it. I would like to experiment with this and use it but I don’t have $30 to pay for a program that just produces numbers from sound. it seems fairly simple. are there any other programs out there that do the same thing.

on a similar note there is a program called ‘screen time’ for flash that makes screen savers out of flash files. but it costs $200 which is ridiculous if you ask me as that is the programs only capability. is there any other way to do this?

thanks

anyone?

get swift MP3. totally free.

sweet … thanks

i have apache running on my machine but not cgi … where can i get cgi and instructions on how to install it for apache … i’m a total newb at this so please be gentle with the server talk ;b

Flash Jester also has an associate app that is called ScreenWeaver, I think…

I think Wildform has something like it as well…

both should be a lot less than $200…

Do you need a web server to use swift MP3?

yes you do … and i got it running on my local server but it won’t convert the mp3’s for me … it says it can’t play them … and i checked the sample rate on them and it’s fine … so i’m not sure how to make this program work :frowning:

hm, i do not know how ot integrate perl into an apache, but i know a good free apache, which has it already installed:

www.apachefriends.org

it has mysql, perl, php, …

i use it for my own and can only say good things about it…
