Hi everyone, I posted something similar in the MX2004 forum, but no help yet.
Here’s the deal, I’m trying to make text-based rollovers that link to other pages on my site. The problem is, as you can see, they don’t work very well. You have to have your mouse over the a “line” of the text. If your mouse is, for example, in the hollow place of the letter “O” then it doesn’t register. Help!
Why do you have a movieclip in a button, which is in a button, which is in a button,
which is in a button???
No, I’m not stuttering:lol:
Oh, er, smell a newbie, anyone? Yeah, I don’t really know what I’m doing. However, it is WEIRD that no one else is experience this problem. Oh well, I’ll ignore it, I guess.
think u may try this: draw a sharp of any color with alpha at 0%,and the size same as the text button, place it under the text layer inside the button instance.
What I meant, is that you can do it far more simple. The mc you have with the rollover effect, is the only thing you need.
Look at the fla, the only thing I changed is what wheel suggested;)
Also in the button thing theres labels saying Rollover, Release etc on the top of the frame labels well there’s one called Hit what you do in that is like draw a shape eg a box of where you want the area of where the mouse hits and changes it… nothing else needs to be on this frame except for the box… didn’t look at your fla so don’t know if this answers your question and i probably confused the hell out of you but its a heaps simpler way to do things…
