Another "Why won't this work properly?"

This is really annoying me. Flash can be such a pain in the arse sometimes. :angry: Can someone please have a look? There’s a movieclip called Jane_Brown on a layer called Text2 and it’s supposed to fade in but there is no fading. While you are at it, I still can’t figure out why a second actionscripted text animation won’t work if you already have one. frustrated

There is no Jane_Brown movie clip on layer ‘Text 2’.

When you refer to the “second” text animation are you talking about the “ORIENTAL CARPETS, TEXTILES & PEARLS” not working. Well it didnt work cos your action script was wrong. I corrected that bit.

Ok I stuffed up with attaching the .fla, woops! With this one, the movie clip Jane_Brown is on the layer Text2. If you look at the animation inside the movie clip, you’ll see that each letter is kind of transparent but then as it moves down, the transparency changes to full colour. When you test the movie, it doesn’t show any signs of transparency. I’ve also added another set of “actionscripted text” on layers Text3 and AS2 with instances and variables named differently to the other one. I don’t understand why it won’t work.
