Any Computer Nerds Out there?

Hey this is a rather off topic topic for this random forum. But I have tried and tried to figure this one out. Its about MS Windows 2000 and have had no luck.

I don’t know if any of you have ever had that stupid pop up when surfing the net and you fill out a text box… you know the one that says “would you like windows to remember this entry for you…blah blah…would you like to turn auto complete on…”

And basically the page just stops loading until you either select yes or no. As far as I know you cannot turn it off in TOOLS> Internet options > Auto complete…

I am thinking it is more of tweaking the registry, Any computer nerds out there have the answer??? It is no biggie…AHH who am I kidding I hate it…

I tried to get a screen grab but of course I can’t make it appear…

thanx

Tools > Internet Options > Advanced

If it’s not called Auto complete it’ll be something with the word Favorites in it. I’m not on my win 2k PC so I can’t be sure of the name.

You’ll be able to turn the other things off here too

isn’t there an option to tell it to stop showing the message?..or even better…just let it save it…;)…whats the harm?

maybe your problem isn’t with Windows 2000, but rather Internet Explorer?

In Internet Explorer:

Tools - Internet Options - Content - AutoComplete

I think you will be able to figure out the rest.
