I’m using windows xp pro, when i was setting it up i selected an option for windows to save things i’ve searched for in drop down boxes, but it’s kind of getting annoying now, and i want to know how i can get it to stop, any ideas? :sigh:
Go to this site Tweak XP and type in a keyword relating to your problems (eg… drop down boxes)
It’s called AutoComplete.
Open up Internet Explorer.
Go to “Tools” then select “Options.”
Next find the tab labeled “Content.”
At the bottom of the box on the right you will see a button called
"AutoComplete." Click it.
Change the settings there and you will be set. Also clearing your “History” and “Temporary Internet Files” from the first screen of the “Tools” -> “Options” box will help you…this is also known as the “General” tab of the same area.
not an XP question but an IE question

Yes, but WinXP incorporates IE into just about everything it does, such as the Windows Explorer, and the control panel, etc, so that you might be filling in something in a control panel window, and the AutoComplete will be trying to fill things in for you. It’s annoying. :beam:
