Any organic chemists out there?

I’m kinda stuck on one of my homework questions…

I have to find all the compunds of cyclohexane with the forumula C9H18.

All i’ve found is n-Propylcyclohexane , 1,1,2 Trimethylcyclohexane, and Isopropylcyclohexane.

Did I miss any, I dont fully understand how to find these… so I’m kinda trying random things till they work :)?

Edit: is tert-Butalcyclohexane one?

Edit2: found 2 more… 1,2,3 Trimethylcyclohexene and Ethyl-2Methylcyclohexen

If I remember my stuff (which is unlikely), you can have:
[]an unreasonable amount of arrangements of trimethylcyclohexane
[
]propylcyclohexane

all arrangements of methylethylcyclohexane
That’s all I can think of, hopefully someone who remembers their stuff better can help you more.

:hangover: what kind of homework is that???

thanks buches canadian, i’ll go through and arange the methyls in different orders and see how many I can come up with

Chemistry?

Glad to help 3D Nirvana, I just hope I’m right because I haven’t taken this stuff for a few months (which is long enough for me to forget). It would be nice to see the correct answers if you ever get them

Well, on the street we call that opium… what do they teach you kids in school these days

couldn’t you just google the answer? or is google not smart enough for that? <— those are serious questions.

nah, google only came up with one or two of them…

turns out there was 12 of them… lol i was a little off

12, really? I only got 10:
[]1,1,2-trimethylcyclohexane
[
]1,1,3-trimethylcyclohexane
[]1,1,4-trimethylcyclohexane
[
]1,2,3-trimethylcyclohexane
[]1,2,4-trimethylcyclohexane
[
]1-methyl1-ethylcyclohexane
[]1-methyl2-ethylcyclohexane
[
]1-methyl3-ethylcyclohexane
[]1-methyl4-ethylcyclohexane
[
]propylcyclohexane
:sc:
