Any shaving recommendations? : )

Long story made short, I’ve been shaving with a Gilette razor since I started growing facial hair like 10 years ago :stuck_out_tongue:

Problem is my beard has started to grow a lil on the fast side and it’s getting really annoying to have to shave really properly every morning to avoid looking like Chewbacca at noon. I’ve been freelancing for the longest time so I haven’t really had to worry about it but that time is coming to an end…

So.

I need an electric shaver! The one I have is from the turn of the century and it does more chopping than shaving

Any recommendations ?

Really any razor will work just find a design you like that will fit your facial style best (pivoting head ect…). For most razors the replacement blades are like 15USD to 20 so your basically paying for those way more than your razor.

Just remember that after like 4 months or so you have to replace the blades or you wills start to remove your skin with them

i have some cheap 40 dollar Norelco (but a nice beard trimmer hehe).

Nair.

Don’t. Stubble bordering on a beard is the way to go. I haven’t shaved properly for years, i just trim every now and then when it gets too unruly.

Aye, just trim. Go to Target or Bed Bath and Beyond or something and just pick one out. They’re all pretty similar.

I tried electric for about half a year, went back to the ol’ mach 5

Option 1: (Straight Razor – love the voice over, very professional!)

Option 2: (Palomar Starlux - only every three weeks, more time for sleeping in!)

I haven’t read this thread, but I wanted to reply anyway.

…balls.

Edit: @American Mustache Institute - lol It would be a beautiful world.

I am not an expert.

^ Thats the most pointless post I have seen on this forum

Every one by Chezzi I have seen so far has been that level of uselessness. I am awaiting a response to a PM to see if he/she is real or a bot.

Remington electrics ftw. Get a Remington shotgun too, while you’re at it.

I sandpaper my face until it is at the desires length. Use 80 grit.

electric shavers are just good for trimming they usually don’t do good when you need to do close shaves around the neck

I too can attest that the 80 grit sandpaper works like a charm, however I prefer to fade into the rest of my face with alittle 120 grit after the fact. Once you get the hang of it then go ahead on up to the 600 grit and really do some styling!

Real men have to make do with the blunt edge of an ice-axe

I wouldn’t know. I mean, I’ve been out of the ‘electric razor’ game for 10 years.

I was kinda assuming at this space-age technology phase in time there’d be a an electric razor that didn’t suck.

Nope. We couldn’t invent a good, easy electric razor, so we just made facial hair trendy. That’s progress!

^it’s so true… check out past issues of GQ magazine lol
