I have never really liked reading, despite very much wanting to like it. I have never read more than a page every few minutes, because I just get bored and distracted.
I tried a book (A Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur’s Court by Mark Twain) on the Gutenberg project last night, and ■■■■ did that make a difference. I read 80+ pages really quickly on my computer, even while checking email and occasionally talking on IM.
I’ve read other stuff by Twain in print and been bored … but reading it online seems to be much easier for me. Anybody else find this to be the case?
