just wondering if it’s possible to draw a 3D “Archimedes’ screw” with swift.

That’s tricky, swift isn’t really good for any kind of spiral as far as I know.
The only way I can think of would be very awkward and time consuming. Make the central pole fairly easily since it’s just a cylinder, then make small sections of the spiral in the lathe editor and place them around the spiral.
I don’t know if that would look good enough to be worth the effort though. :-\
Of course I’ve only used version 2, there might be an easier way if you’re using version 3.
