Arcing text with AS

So I came across this great example of how to arc text using AS.

I was just wondering if anyone knew how to customize the curve itself to be less/more. I would ideally give the user the ability to choose a curve size on the fly.

In this example you can only arc on a exact circle… what about a very slight and more dramatic curve?
