[AS]How you animate a dynamically text?

Hello guys,

One small question how you animate (typewrite) a dynamically loaded text?
I have this code:

var sInt = setInterval (writeIt, 1);
var count:Number = 0;
function writeIt () {
current_home.text = str.substring (0, count);
count += 5;

}

This just loads me the text…but no animation…

If i write like so:

When loading the text from the external textfile you assign the text directly to the textfield rather than to the variable.

You have to define str after the text is loaded
