I am an Action developer moslty working with OOP in AS2 and AS3. I have applied for flash developer job in big company and they have asked me to give a sample AS2 and AS3 code.
Can anyone please tell me what are the best professional ways of writing OOP code in AS2 and AS3?
Thank you guys for your feedback i will start cracking on the links that you posted here. Thanks alot Johhny for your comments. I am not sure If I want to give the full application code about clear and documented yes definatley I will do that. I am thinking of giving them code of one or two if my classes that make up the whole project. Because the agent I spoke to he said that they need just a small sample code. Now my concern is that should that code be functional and generating some output on the screen or just one or two well writen and well commented classes.
If you guys have time can you please check and give feedback on my portfolio website? I have been working aa a freelancer for quite sometime and I am new to AS3 so this website is just a small step towards my goal of becoming an expert Adobe developer.

It took me a while to figure out that the red blob at the top was part of a scroll bar. Firstly because it didnt give me a cursor on rollover and secondly because it didnt have roll over states and thirdly (less importantly) because it didnt have arrows. Maybe worth putting some of things on.

Have you tried making the transitions of the 3d elements use easeinout instead of just easeout? I reckon it may look smoother.
Well about the scroll bar yes I know what you are talking about I will be updating that very soon. Thanks for the comments.
and about sekasi comments I did reply to him in another thread that I need decompiler just to get my own project Fla file which I lost ages ago and I am left with only the swf and not that it matters but still just for the record all the sutff on my website is my own.
And calling some one a thief just like that is not very nice dude.
Don’t worry about sekasi’s comment’s he may be looking for a laugh at the expense of you. Im pretty sure everyone here has had questionable motives at sometime. Its all about how you intend to finish anyway.
Questionable motives, this guy literally asked for a keygen to pirate/steal however you want to call it, and he wants to call himself a developer wow his pretty much advocating people stealing his work since he thinks its ok to do it to others.
Consider this adnan794, if somebody stole all of your work you could not be a flash developer because you could not support yourself.
As far as SoThink goes… errr… software made to steal software?..hard call…
As far as stealing my work goes - using Sothink for example … Im totally sweet with it cause a thief cant use it unless they know what they are doing anyway. I think some of us are being a little precious.
If you didn’t make the connection, I dislike decompiling, but not that much.
My reason for calling him a thief was that he was trying to steal soThink with a serial in another thread in this forum. When confronted he said he didn’t know it was against the FORUM rules.
How about your countries rules, or as I like to call them, laws.
Guy’s I think we are missing the point, adnan794 is not just a pirate, he’s also an “Adobe Certified Expert” - seriously, I would be dubious about putting a title like that on my CV no matter the level…
