AS3.0 Class from class initiation

Hi Guys,

Trying to start with AS3.0 classes and I’m having problems to understand the basics.

I’ve got 3 files:

main.fla

empty

main.as

package  
 {
 import flash.display.MovieClip;
 import engine.StageSetup;
 
 public class Main extends MovieClip 
 {
  public function Main():void 
  {
   trace("Main loaded");
  }
 }
}

StageSetup.as

package engine

    import flash.display.Sprite;
    import flash.display.StageAlign;
    import flash.display.StageScaleMode;
    import flash.events.Event;
    public class StageSetup extends Sprite 
 {
        public function StageSetup() 
  {
            stage.scaleMode = StageScaleMode.NO_SCALE;
            stage.align = StageAlign.TOP_LEFT;
            stage.addEventListener(Event.ACTIVATE, activateHandler);
            stage.addEventListener(Event.RESIZE, resizeHandler);

I have imported StageSetup in my Main.as however I’m not sure what else needs to be done to get the StageSetup to work.
