after a helpful hint from another user, i put all of the PDFs into flash paper which converted them to swfs. I thought having swfs instead of PDFs would work better. But i was wrong. i still dont know what to do.
all i need if for the buttons on my project to link to either swfs(that can be printed) or pdf files (this project will be going on a cd-rom) . Ideally, b/c there are so many pdfs/swf, it would be easier if somehow when the user clicks the button it would open the pdf document in acrobat or something.
i have tried using loadMovie, but it loads it into the same window and then i cant get rid of it and go back, and also i cannot put all of the swfs into one big folder, b/c there are so many of them.
I have tried getURL, but it says it cant find the file.
maybe i’m just doing it all wrong.
Please Help.
