SAN FRANCISCO, Oct 4 (Reuters) - Autodesk Inc. (ADSK.O: [color=#085aaf][u]Quote[/u][/color], [url=“http://today.reuters.com/stocks/CompanyProfile.aspx?symbol=ADSK.O”][color=#085aaf][u]Profile[/u][/color], [url=“http://today.reuters.com/stocks/ResearchReports.aspx?symbol=ADSK.O”][color=#085aaf][u]Research[/u][/color]), which makes design software used by engineers and architects, said on Tuesday it would pay $182 million in cash to acquire Alias, a privately held developer of 3D graphics technology.
