AVI/MPEG in Flash

ok guys, I’m doing a CD-ROM project and I need some advice. I have an intro that I’m using that was done by someone else that I need to import and use for a Flash CD that I’m doing. My problem is that I’ve tried a few different ways importing it, but everytime it’s extremely lossy and slow. I wanted to know if my fellow Kirupians have any suggestions on how to make it look as good as possible.

Is the answer as simple as using a 3rd-party piece like Sorenson Squeeze? It wouldn’t be a problem if it were for the web, but since it’s gonna be on CD, I want it to be as nice as possible!

thx claudio… that was the 2nd source i read up from. good info, but i was hoping to get something more personal from someone who does this on a regular basis.
