Importing Video to flash?

Hey everyone, I’m trying to find out a nice QUICK way of having a small video clip in a movie…i imported a 5-10 second AVI…and even with DSL it takes about 2 mins to load…any ideas?

hectic:asian:

Flash MX has compression options when importing video. Flash 5, to my knowledge does not. In the library, right click on the video, and attempt to change to quality settings, under properties.

are you using a preloader? what is the height and width of the original avi and the swf?

I recently bought sorenson squeeze and i can’t believe how much it compresses video clips. it took a 18mb avi and turned it into a 350 kb file without losing qaulity or sound.

Whoa cool, how much did you pay for it? Is it available on warez :rambo: hehe

http://www.sorenson.com/ is the website of the makers. you can download the demo for free but it leaves a watermark over everything you do. try it and see if it fits your needs. I believe in paying for a good product even though i have used cracks before to decide if you like it. Beware I know people who have been caught by adobe using pirated software, so now i always purchase products i plan on using.

Hehe thanks I might just do that, altho I’d recommend DeluxNetwork.Com It’s much cleaner than astalavista

Hmm, i really thought getting a crack into the forum will ban u!!

Hehehe i’m only joking, i wouldn’t dream of getting a crack…in fact i’ve just got Macromedia Director…since i’m looking to put my video on CD with a flash type interface…man it’a hard program!

Had no idea. Makes sense. Its only my 4th post. whoever is in charge should delete this thread. I have edited my earlier post to get rid of reference. I hope hectic will too.
