hi ppl!

would someone be kind enough to tell me how i could use a picture from a file (like example.gif) as a background?

or is it not possible?

The easiest way I know of…

Put your image on the lowest layer so it is behind everything, then lock the layer so you don’t accidently move it or put something else on it.

well, u see, the problem is, the image is only a 20x20 pixel one. i wanted to use it as a background for the site.

if i put it on the flash movie, it would match the webpage.

you can see the image file. if only i can upload it, i’ll try

So its like a dark green grid??

If you use Photoshop, you could save that as pattern, create a new image that is the same dimensions as your flash movie, fill your new image with your pattern… save that and import that image in Flash.

I don’t use any other art programs so I don’t know what else has the pattern/tile ability.

Otherwise you will have to tile it by hand by clicking on the image in your library, dragging it on the stage and building it :-\

Or, you could brake apart the image, select the tool eyedropper click on the image an create a retangle with that fill.

But I think that will increase the file size.
