I’ve been doing basic flash banner ads lately and I just recently had to create one that incorporated a little video trailer.
Prior to this, I’ve only been doing basic banners with only animation and buttons that link to sites, etc. However, I’m not sure how to go about adding a .flv I have while also keeping the filesize down under 36kb (which is the requirement for this specific site we’re advertising on).
When creating flash banners with video, do you usually embed the flash video in the .swf itself or do you stream the video off a separate location? I noticed that when I embed my little 4 second video, the file size is pretty large and easily over the required size.
