Basic question

Hello-hello,

I’m making a large movie that will need a preloader to count the entire thing. For the ease of design, I was wondering if I could make a bunch of different FLAs and then put them all in order (in different scenes) to make one big fla.

I’m sure there’s a way, but I’m not sure where to start trying. Nor do I want to make a bunch of flas to find out later I can’t plug them together.
Thanks!!
:rd: <cool

Well first off, why are you thinking of doing that? The reason why people work with multiple FLA’s is so that they can break their movie into pieces to reduce the initial loading time of their site.

If you have all your movies in one file, it will be very large in size and it would take forever to load. This is something you need to take into consideration unless you’re working on a CD presentation which won’t require loading.

As for combining FLA’s, the only way I can think of is selecting all the layers of your first FLA, go to Edit > Copy frames, then go to your second FLA, create a new layer and go to Edit > Paste frames. I hope that helps. :stuck_out_tongue:

Thanks for your responce. I figured it would be the cut and paste frames way. I’m making a movie/cartoon like the ones you would find at joecartoon.com or campchaos.com. I guess I’ll go back to plan A and make one big one with scenes.

Thanks!

haha cool, I love joecartoon, that site is hilarious. :stuck_out_tongue: Let me know when you finish your cartoon. =)

I will do that. God only knows how long it will be, but it should be pretty funny. It’s a parody of all those darn reality tv shows. I’ll let you know.
