Best bass amps

Anyone know? I’m using an old Crate guitar amp, GT-80 TUBE/MOSFET, which my dad had lying around the basement when I bought my bass. I think it’s time for me to get a real bass amp. WHo makes the best bass amps? I’ve heard Fender’s are pretty good. Price range can’t be more than $400…
