Best way to load pictures?

Hi, I’m working on a flash site and I need to put quite a few pictures on there. I’ll have the thumbnail page of course, but what I cant figure out is what would be the best way to load the images after they’re clicked. Do I have to make a movie for each picture? I can’t put each one in a separate frame because the movie would just be too large. I’m thinking if there’s a way to load a movie and have it insert whichever picture was clicked. Or if it would just be easiest to load the pictures out of the site in a Iexplorer window. Any thoughts, comments, or questions appreciated. Thanks
