hope u dont mind kirupa but i was to lazy to do it myself
ahah sounds like a cool idea but i’m pretty new to flash mx so i don’t really get it heh thx anywayz
U got it hey?
just in case you did’nt get it.
in flash mx in the “standard” layout. the properties inspector is at the bottom of the screen.
look directly under the word “properties” and you will see information on the selected item.
one of the boxes there says “instance name” (if it does not have a name already)
click in that box and type a name for the item and you can now refer to the item by name in actionscript.
hope you got it now

Propreties Panel…
CTRL+F3 in windows as a keyboard shortcut. I love this shortcut, as well as F2 for the Actions Panel and CTRL+L for the library, these definitely come in handy.
